Love the tracking but the cord!
I had a fitbit years ago. This model is much better. Improvements over the years I’m sure. It is sleek although I did buy a different band. That plastic one irritates my skin. I do have one major complaint. Why is the charging cord so flipping short? Really? Less than a foot long. Is Fitbit afraid I might strangle myself with something longer? It is just plain ridiculous.

I like the Fitbit but learning to use it is a problem. I still don’t know enough to really enjoy it. I will learn someday by watching a U-tube video.

Fitbit is fine but…….
The charger included in the package only worked for the original charge. After that it quit working. Can’t figure out why.

Keeping me on track
I love the look of the fitness tracker. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive trackers but it provides me with what i need, it motivates me to excercise and longer.

Nice looking and some good features. Just rather small, and I was unaware that it did not have the click function as my previous Fitbit’s. They should make the more clear

Okay
Requires charging every 3-4 days, disappointing battery life but otherwise okay. Comfortable band. Watch profile is a bit higher than I anticipated so it occasionally resets some functions with normal wrist movements. I don’t love the app, more information than I need!Addendum: battery seems to have settled down, now it needs charging only about once weekly. 4 1/2 stars, still not quite 5.

Where are the menus?
My wife just got her FitBit Inspire 3. She got me one as we began walking at the gym. She’s had a Chinese watch for years and thought I could put up with this. She was right! I knew how far I walked, my heart rate, and the time was always correct.I got her one – and she is computer literate and wasn’t nearly as happy. There are no instructions. If you don’t know what you are looking for, it takes a while and a question to Google where to find the answer. They send a Product Information sheet in two small print pages for every printable language, but not one dot on what menu items.Oh, there’s an app – no Search, no Help, no single page with menu icons to show where you can go and what each item does. Fortunately she was a Software Quality Engineer and isn’t afraid to punch buttons – and the devices on the app, upper left hand corner shows percentage on the FitBit – and another click on the page that opens – got her to the right pages to use this device. So there’s only four stars, losing one for a lack of intuitiveness for a user in search of instructions. At least a definition of “Home” would help.

Good, not great.
Here’s a few bullet points after wearing this for about few weeks:Awesome battery life. Even with always on display I get 3+ days out of a charge.Charges very quickly.Much brighter than Charge 4 I had previously. I can actually see this in direct sunlight.I wish the charger had a longer cable.A little small for my preference – I’m use to wearing watches and came from a Charge 4.A little slow when tapping through the to see steps/BPM/etc.

Got this because of afib
Well the first thing I have to say is other than the obvious heart monitor resting and regular and exercising heart rates sleep monitor and heart rates, and notification of afib occurs although it monitors only during sleep but if you know anything about afib just the detection is para.ount sleeping or not I thought I had pneumonia and waited till the very last possible moment to go to ER had i had the fitbit before I probably could of saved my self suffering through adeema and breathing issues. This thing tracks .y steps on a daily basis calories. I have had my fitbit for over three weeks other than the inital charge out of the box but it was already charged I have only had to charge my fitbit twice the battery lasts forever Duracell eat your heart out

Waterproof?! WOW!
I liked my Fitbit Inspire 3 since I received it 2 months ago, but I love it now! I accidentally soaked it for several hours in some laundry, when I finally retrieved it (assuming that I had killed it), I discovered that it ran as good as new! Wow!!! I don’t recommend trying this “experiment” but it is nice to know that a little water won’t hurt it. Highly recommend this model!

Great lowkey way to keep track of daily activity
I needed a more accurate way to track my daily steps and calories burned than my phone, and the Inspire 3 has been GREAT for that so far. It was super easy to set up with practically no learning curve in using it. I love the sleep tracking feature also, it’s been super helpful (and wildly accurate)! The app is also easy to use and customize to your goals/needs. It’s nice they offer Premium free initially, I will likely continue paying for it once that runs up because the app is great so far. The bands it comes with fit great, but I did get more “scrunchie” looking ones because it’s more my style. Also worth noting that I’m a pretty clumsy person and no scratches so far. Only reason I give it 4 out of 5 stars is because the touchscreen started being a little wonky after a couple weeks, but I restarted it and that fixed the problem.

Only 3 Months Premium Included, Not 6 Months – Amazon delayed shipping twice
**** It has been about one month now and I like the fact it displays SPO2 levels. SP02 level was useful after recently coming down with COVID-19 so I could monitor my breathing capability.I don’t know how much longer Google will keep the fitbits around after the buyout. At some point they are going to want to reduce costs and get rid of the overlapping products and overlapping software maintenance.I liked this smaller fitbit so much I decided to purchase one for my son. Unfortunately, I agreed to delayed shipping because I was going on vacation. Amazon has now delay delivery twice, informed me it was going to be delivered earlier and then later still. Not happy with Amazon on shipping after all these years of being a prime customer. Amazon – do better at what you do – shipping.****After two days, not much, the inspire 3 seems to be working well and paired well with my iphone. However, instead of 6 months of Premium online service, I only received 3 months. If Google really wants to charge a premium for the services, they need to cut it in half.$10 per month is ridiculous for what is offered. The real test of the device will be after swimming with it for a few weeks, months or years.

Great Fitbit
I needed to replace my 7 year old Fitbit Charge2 due to battery life and the charging adapter falling apart. The Fitbit Inspire 3 comes with color screen, heart health monitor capability, alarm clock, text/email connectivity, much longer battery life and other bells and whistles. To my disappointment, the new Fitbit Inspire 3 did not come with altimeter, which was a big deal. Now, it doesn’t measure floors. Eventually, I must have accepted it as I am not a throw away person. After all, I appreciate everything else the item brings.

Didn’t get What I paid for.
Inspire 3 comes with two small straps and two large straps. Pink and black. I received one small pink strap and ONE HALF of a large pink strap. 😵💫(not to mention, I don’t like pink!) 😂 gave a good rating because the Fitbit is good.

Lots of nice features
I have been using this fitbit inspire 3 for about 3 weeks now. It replaced a Garmin vivofit that I had been using for years. This fitbit has lots of nice features including heartbeat and sleep monitors. I find that I need to recharge the battery about once every 2 days. It only takes about an hour or less to recharge. I ordered 2 sets of replacement bands, and it is very easy to change the bands on the fitbit.

Nice
Once connected to phone I can do a lot with It. Track exercise and type of exercise. I like the sleep info on it. And setting reminder of when to go to bed. I can switch the bands around too. Color coordinate with what I’m wearing. Good watch. Going to stick with this brand. I haven’t gone to the free year for all the bells and whistles. Seems I don’t need all that. What I get for free on app is just fine with me. Basically all I need. I have a phone for calls and messages. I don’t need it on my watch. I don’t talk with the watch like on the show get smart from many years ago lol.

It does everything you expect it to do except tell you the temperature and humidity, so that’s the only thing I have to figure out on my own.

Basic, it helpful!
The media could not be loaded.
I got this because I’m attempting to get more healthy and track my sleep. It was super easy to connect to my phone and has stayed synced ever since. The watch itself seems to be pretty good quality and the charge lasts about 10 days. It is fairly accurate, but does have trouble automatically detecting my workouts for whatever reason. The notifications can honestly get a little annoying at times. I’ll have just been standing working on something for a while and I sit down and get a notification that I need to stand up. So that’s weird.Overall, good but basic!

Great To Keep You Active
I purchased this to track my steps because IWanted to move more. My job requires I sit at a desk all day and I wanted a way to track my steps to make sure I was getting my exercise in. This is a great tool for that and so much more. It gives me reminders to get up and move, and it has helped me shed a few pounds just by walking more.

Great replacement for Luxe
I really like this Fitbit. I have worn several device trackers from Misfit to Fitbit and even tried a Dayband tracker. One of my favorite Fitbits was the Luxe. I wore it everywhere. The battery got to the point of only lasting a day, so I looked for a replacement. There did not seem to be any updates for the Luxe and at twice the price of the Inspire 3, I thought I would give it a try. I am glad that I did. It works just as well, battery lasts several days (as the Luxe did at first). I bought an additional band SS mesh, which dresses the Inspire 3 up a bit. Very happy with purchase.

Works Great
I love this Fit Bit. Everything you need, expect and want from the brand. Nothing bad to say at all. Syncs up with the app, no problem. I had to replace my old one that got wet, so just keep that in mind when wearing one in water.

A very useful device/app combo
I’ve had the Inspire 3 for three days now. I have not worn a watch for many years, but I have tried other fitness trackers. My observations:The band is quite comfortable, to the point that I almost forget that it’s there (until I bump into something…)The auto display feature is great! I turn my wrist as if I’m viewing a watch and it displays the time! If I’m out walking and want to check my step count, I no longer have to pull out my phone to check Google Fit.The Fitbit app makes it easier to track my blood glucose levels, which was not a feature I knew about when I bought this. The only thing that would make it better is if I had a BG meter with Bluetooth. The sleep tracking is okay, but I need more data to tell just how accurate/useful that feature is.Despite the ability to track pulse rate, it seems to be a bit inaccurate at times, registering a rather high rate when it is nowhere near that high. It also won’t allow me to detect AFib if I tell the app that I was diagnosed with it.Lots more features to talk about, but I will try to follow up in few weeks. I’m off to a good start with this device, quite happy with it so far.

Great Beginner Fitness Watch
Trying to track calories burned, steps, and our workouts better. We were recommended watches such as Coros, Garmin, and Apple Watches. All great products but very expensive. We’re really getting into fitness so we wanted beginner watches (needed two), these are great. Plus we hate clunky things on our arms so this was very slick, not as noticeable as the other ones. Full charge so far has lasted us about a week, plus is charged quickly.Only complaints are steps being tracked inaccurately. If I were to scratch my arm, that motion tracks it and for it to track your sleep accurately, the app must be open on your phone which sometimes I forget to do.Back to the steps, I drive a PIT at work that goes 1-5mph for 10hrs a day and it tracks that for some reason and will add A LOT of steps by the end of my shift (talking 6000). I think it has to do with the speed of my vehicle though.

First watch
Got this watch to start counting steps. It had lasted almost a week after it being fully charged including sleeping in it, which is pretty neat. The app is very helpful in keeping you up to date when it’s synced. I personally did not like the silicone band, I also have a big wrist. The bands take getting used to when putting on for the first couple of times. The only real negative I have is it does not sync well with my phone. It takes a good bit to update everything and sometimes I can’t use the “find iPhone” button unless I have the app open on my phone. Other than that I personally like it and does what I need for the price.

A tracker that wants to be a smart device. Hint, it’s a great tracker.
Summary – The Fitbit Inspire 3 is a very good fitness tracker. It counts steps, monitors heartrate and is even a sleep tracker. It has pretentions of being a smart device but don’t be fooled. If you use this as a simple tracker that links to a smartphone to download results you’ll be very happy with it. It’s from a well known brand, has a decent battery life and good accuracy. If you want a smart device then buy an Apple Watch as the Inspire 3 won’t do that properly and you won’t be happy. I like it but know it is limited and I’m happy with that.Pros – Battery life. This will depend upon how you use the device. I have turned off all of the notifications and other stuff. I link the device to my phone once or twice a day for a few minutes and I don’t compulsively check the screen. In this minimalist fashion I do manage 10 or 11 days between re-charges. That’s very good for such a small device and I don’t have to remember to recharge it every night so I’m happy too.Accuracy – It’s pretty good. Steps correlate with other devices as does heart rate. Sleep tracking is reasonable and apart from a well documented tendency to confuse deep sleep with light sleep it is consistent. These devices are only indicators and not proper medical devices. If you have sleep problems then a proper sleep polysomnography is what you need. But this is good enough. I’ve never been able to tell what the sleep score properly correlates too though. There are days when I can have a great sleep score and feel tired by 10:00am. it’s just a number not a way of life. The indifferent – The screen is small and the choice of displays isn’t very good. I found one that works for me and I see no reason to change it. The screen is bright but very small. Another reason not to think this is a replacement for something like an apple watch.Fit – the Inspire 3 comes with two soft, silicone straps. It is comfortable to wear. Just be advised that the device needs to be tight to the wrist to get proper readings. It can slip to a loose position and not be able to measure anything. This means that you’ll get maybe 9 out of 10 nights of sleep records then a junk one. And, if you’re lifting weights in a gym it will be useless for heart rate monitoring in those conditions. Otherwise it’s fine. The Bad – Only to a phone? My old fitbit used to link to my desktop where I could use a large display to see the data. New ones like the Inspire 3 only link to phones. This is a problem with getting older but why do I have to look at a tiny screen (my phone)? Guess fitbit couldn’t be bothered to maintain the desktop software.Fitbit Premium – aka the “con”. So fitbit want to charge you a monthly fee for premium features. How dumb do they think I am? I don’t see any benefit to this and certainly not for a “mere” $9.99. Don’t fall for this. The Inspire 3 is a relatively inexpensive device from a well known brand. it doesn’t need the extras premium can give and you don’t need to give Fitbit the money. It’s just another wasted subscription draining your wallet. Conclusions – There is a lot to like about the Inspire 3 if you have the right mindset. it’s well made, comfortable to wear, reasonably accurate and with good battery life. It is a good tracker. It’s not a substitute for a proper smart watch even though Fitbit want you to think it is. If you’re happy to let it be a tracker with limited contact with a phone it will meet your needs. And meet them well. As a tracker it’s highly recommended. As a smart device with a premium subscription it’s a joke. Recommended with use case caveats.

Not for a rugged life style thats for sure
It charges fine though the batter could use a bit of an upgrade. It looks nice and definitely rocks some black and red para chord bands. However my problem with it is its durability heres why: I am militaristic in how i dress and accessorize so my watch face is on the inside of my wrist, i work a fast food job with a fancy m for a logo. We get dirty from clock in to clock out wether its grease, cleaning fluid, and more, and we also get rough with moving around rapidly and moving heavy objects. My watch face got scratched within three days of having it. But ill be damned if this thing doesnt hold true to tracking your fitness all the while being abused like mine does (all of my stuff gets destroyed within hours of having it so taking 3 days is a new record for accessories)

I can see to read the face!
My Fitbit charge 4’s display got weaker and weaker until it disappeared altogether. I bought this Inspire 3 about which I was a bit dubious as it seemed smaller…which it is. I should not have worried. The display is wonderful, being bright and easily readable, so I am very pleased with that. It also looks very nice.I use the watch to track my steps, heart rate, sleep quality and tell the time. I can’t do vigorous exercise like running or weights and so on, so the more upmarket mega-trackers are not for me.I am very pleased with this watch – it is just what I need.

Battery, Functionality
The media could not be loaded.
At first, I was frustrated that the step counter counts so many steps even if I am just sitting and working at my desk but I have researched online that you should set it up to the “non-dominant” hand as well to get a more or less accurate data especially for steps and calories burned. Now it’s okay.Second, the battery lasts long for about 5-6 days max when you wear it everyday even when sleeping for sleep score purposes. In my case I just take it when I shower.I also encounter a problem sometimes when charging it, sometimes it doesn’t charge I don’t know why maybe because the charger that is being attached to the watch can be a little loose so you have to watch it for a fee seconds just to be sure it’s charging continuously or else you’ll end up like me that when after showering it was still dead. However, when you get the charging right, it charges fast! For a 100%, everyday wear, 7 days the most! All in all, not bad for like simple monitoring of steps, calories burned, workout tracking. The most Downside maybe is that you really have to connect tit always with your phone since it doesn’t have independent GPS system. Although it can still count your steps and calories burned and sleep analysis. And when you reconnect to your phone it will update the data on the app for better view of your data. It’s just that it can’t track your distance when the bluetooth is not connected while you were doing walking or running thus not having built in GPS.

Confusing claim about including small and large bands
I expected to receive 4 sections of bands. A buckle strap and an adjustable strap in both small and large. Unboxing my Inspire 3, the small bands were attached to the black case and also included in the package was a single large adjustable strap. I thought I was missing the large buckle strap. After checking, I realized they only provide one buckle band. I gave a 4-star rating because the description and packaging said “includes small & large size bands” but didn’t explicitly state how many band pieces are included.

There’s a reason I keep buying Fitbits!
This is my fourth Fitbit in eight years. Big surprise with this one with all the colors on the screen. I sure do appreciate that. I don’t know who came up with that idea, but that person deserves a raise. I’ve never had a problem with a Fitbit. I’m very hard on them because of how active I am. Not one time did they break or miss perform. I find that it’s my personal experience that they last about two years, but I have friends that I’ve had the same one for three or four. I live at a place where we are very active outdoors. This really helps keep track of everything I needed to do.

A Very Good Small Fitbit
Am pretty disappointed that Fitbit batteries don’t seem to last longer than two years. Chose the Inspire because I cannot stand 1. Hulky, sweat inducing things on my wrist, 2. Receiving texts or phone calls on a devise too small to operate easily and 3. Paying for yet another devise on my cell phone plan. When this devise fails, I will replace it with grumbling (for having to wade back into the decision and set-up rabbit-hole) but few qualms about the cost.I love most of the features that Fitbit offers for free on their app. I think most of them are accurate enough – although they have major odd hiccup days about once every 9-12 months. The devise offers a lot of tracking options that I don’t use and wish I could turn off. I will accidentally swipe or tap my wrist wrong and end up in menus that are challenging to find your way out of. Thank goodness for YouTube and Google answers.A good choice for me. But HEY, let’s make these things “repairable” at least to the degree of swapping out batteries. Earth does not have endless resources!

I replaced my charge 5 with this and I like it more
I feel like they’ve been cramming too much in these fitness bands. What’s the point if your band has to be recharged daily? This is far more like my old Charge 2, which got me hooked on fitbit, and could last for a few days on a charge. It’s doing everything I need – I just wish the available cloth bands actually had the same locking pin and contours because none of them I’ve tried stay connected long.

Amazing Product – Simple, Dainty, Efficient
I was looking for a petite tracking watch, I dont like bulky bracelets. Although this fitbit can connect with messaging and call notifications, I did not want that option. I simply want a tracker for health, fitness and sleep. The battery on this watch its most incredible, its been 3 days of full activity and I am at 72% battery. Absolutely worth the price and product. VERY happy with product.

Battery dies unexpectedly
I ‘upgraded’ from Inspire 2. That model showed a blinking battery icon when the battery was low, giving you a little notice before dying. This one does not, and has died unrecorded a few times.

Replacement for Amazon Halo
I needed a replacement for my gen 1 Halo when Amazon decided to pull the plug on it. I loved my Halo and this Fitbit does most of the same features plus some the Halo didn’t have. What it doesn’t have…Halo has a great imaging feature where you can take photos of yourself and it will calculate body fat and make a virtual model of your body to predict what you will look like if you gain or lose weight. I loved this feature and the BMI calculation was accurate as it was almost exactly what I got from my doctor plus or minus a fraction of a percent. Halo also had a mobility assessment feature that would diagnose where you are having mobility issues and prescribe exercises and stretches to correct issues. What Fitbit has that halo didn’t…Fitbit has an excellent calorie tracking feature with a bar code and database that is updated by user inputs. This feature was pretty terrible years ago when Fitbit first launched it but today the database is quite good and easy to update by snapping a few pictures. I’ve tried noom my fitness pal and other similar apps but the Fitbit version is the best I’ve seen.Fitbit also now adds a recovery tracker as a part of Fitbit premium. This is great for tracking when you are best fit for a hard workout, when to take it easy, or when you should probably take a day off. It also has a stress tracker and mindfulness tracker. The mindfulness tracker also has some meditations that are available in premium as well. Registration of your device gives you 6 months of premium subscription for free.Aside from those features where the two differ the units are pretty much the same except the Fitbit has a screen and the Gen 1 Halo interfaced only by the phone app. I prefer not to have a screen as I always use the app and the screen is just another weak point that can be damaged. Unfortunately not many trackers without screens are available these days. Even later generation Halos incorporated screens. Whoop is a non-screen option but has a higher subscription cost so it was a no-go for me. Fitbit gives you food logging, macronutrient tracking, calories burned, step counter, exercise tracking, heart rate, sleep tracker, water consumption, movement reminders, and weight loss goal tracker included without subscription in addition to the features I mentioned earlier only available with the premium subscription. The main thing you like about it is that the exercise tracking is automatic. If I just exercise for 10 minutes or longer it figures out what exercises you are doing and logs it along with workout metrics. This is easy for me and it dies it accurately so I can just run, or get on my bike and go. You can manually set it up too if you prefer or wish to use GPS tracking.

Best Fitbit I’ve Owned!!
Switched from a fitbit 2 to the Inspire 3 and I love it. Easy to read screens, great information and a sleek look. Love the longer charge time and the pretty new band. So glad I updated my look.

A great device and I am thrilled that I got it!
I’m an active 78+ yr old female and having a Fitbit Inspire3 is better than the accurate pocket pedometer that I was using. I wear it continually with the exception of when I take a shower and keeping track of my steps, hourly activity rate, my heart rate and sleep is truly amazing and accurate. The price was definitely a plus and I having it helps keep me healthy and active.

This has everything you’d want
I like the fact that it’s easy to set and program for your own tracking preferences. My most important are steps, sleep, and reminders to do anything other than sitting on rear ALL day long 😄 I’m still learning what all it has to offer! AND it’s much more comfortable than I thought it would be and not a bulky armor piece 😏Last but not least is the affordable price compared to other trackers I’ve followed and/or purchased…good job Fitbit!!

Nice Lower-Priced Tracker
I wanted something inexpensive to try tracking sleep. After wearing this every night and most days for two months, here’s my thoughts:tl;dr : A great inexpensive tracker for steps, activity, alarms, but not a very accurate sleep trackerPROS- Smart Wake Alarms: this is my favorite feature by far. I love the vibrate on my wrist to wake me up before my other alarms, and I feel like it’s not as much of a struggle to get up- Long battery life: I’ve only had to charge it 3-4 times in the months I’ve had it.- Automatic workout detection is nice, since my activity is mostly outdoor walks and I forget to set the workouts- Small and comfortable, doesn’t bother me while sleeping with it on- Move reminders are helpful during my work day- Heart rate and step counts are visible right from the watch face- Mirrors iPhone notifications for texts, calls, Outlook emailsCONS- Sleep tracking is not very accurate. It has told me I was asleep when I was awake laying in bed, and some nights tells me I went to bed much later or woke up much earlier than I did.- Small watch screen makes it hard to read notifications from your phone- Doesn’t consistently vibrate for notifications from your phone- Limited watch faces and you can’t customize the colors- There are some FitBit Premium features that aren’t super obvious in the app and require some digging (recipes, etc).

Google did FitBit dirty.
***** UPDATE August 15th, 2023 *****I’ve had my watch for 20 days now. Worn it to bed every single night. Of those 20 nights I’ve gotten THREE nights where it has recorded a sleep score. It’s nice to see my REM and Deep Sleep cycles and to put some loose value on the quality of sleep I’m getting. I had to go to the FitBit site to try and trouble shoot why I only got 3 nights…I *think* (not 100% sure, but based on FitBit help pages this is my assumption) you have to have the watch SNUG at night to get a good reading for sleep. And when I say snug I mean I have the SMALL band so tight I only have 3 notches left to go before I’m out of notches. I’d say I have average to small wrists, so If you have REALLY small wrists you could be out of luck unless you get a 3rd party band. I will likely go that route as the firmer plastic that tight is not comfortable and leaves massive dents. The worst part of not getting but 3 days of sleep score is that the monthly sleep profile needs 14 nights of sleep score to give you a sleep profile, so that likely isn’t going to happen this month unless I can get a sleep score every night for pretty much the rest of the month. And then the “Readiness Score” also needs the sleep data. So I got a score yesterday (Monday) because it gave me a sleep score for Sunday night. I can’t judge that aspect of it on one score.I did wear it in the pool today and it seems fine in regards to the water resistance. My gripe there is that I was doing water aerobics and there is no quick option for that – just swimming. So I had to go back into the app and add my activity and the time frame. Not the worst thing, but if it’s an exercise option within the app I wish I could set it as a quick select for my watch as it’s something I may continue doing on a regular basis.Still would’t upgrade the star rating at this point, nor would I pay the 10 bucks a month for premium with the data I’ve gotten thus far.***** Original Review *****I will admit I’ve not had my new FitBit for more than 24 hours yet as I start writing this — BUT — This is my 3rd or 4th FitBit in the last decade or so. I go between FitBit and Apple Watch. I’ll pro/con this from my prior knowledge of what FitBit was prior to Google buying it. I already utilize the apps FitOn for exercise videos along with LoseIt! for food logging, so that plays into my review.Pros:The screens now are SO much better.Battery life is better than in the past.Way more information in a compact device – It’s more than just tracking 10000 steps with 5 dotstsw now.Bands are more comfortable than prior models, and have plenty of 3rd party options.FitBit now has exercise videos in app. (You’ll see this in cons, I’ll explain.)Clock and App Gallery. (Also going to appear in cons.)Meal ideas. (Another double edged sword here too.)Cons: (Maybe grab a snack right now, it’s going to take a minute.)The App… is simply atrocious. With what I’m seeing right now, I can’t say paying for premium is going to be worth anything. Unless the health data and readiness score are absolutely mind blowing I really can’t fathom spending 10 bucks a month on it. I’ve also noticed that an issue with the Inspire 3 not showing things like breathing and skin temp are all over the help pages on FitBit. I’ll try and remember to update if that all shows up in the coming days like it says it should.** Groups no longer exist. You can have a group with your personal friends you add on, but you cannot find a public group if you wanted to just talk to people about something like meal prep. There is no more social aspect to to the app aside from adding friends. I can partake in groups on LoseIt! and FitOn both.** Clock and App Gallery – there’s limited clock faces for the Inspire 3. The stock one it comes loaded with is the one I like the best, and you have THREE whole color theme options (green, orange, purple). There are apps I cannot load onto my Inspire like FitOn, which REALLY irks me off as that’s my primary exercise video app (more on that below). My Apple Watch had an app too that synced my heart rate to FitOn.** Speaking of things the FitBit won’t work with… It won’t sync any data with Apple Health – I will have to see if my FitBit syncing with the LoseIt! app will do so.** Exercise videos: There seems to be a good bit to choose from, some are for Premium subscribers only like most apps, which isn’t a huge deal. My dislike on this is there is precious little to sort the videos by. My FitOn app I can go by time, equipment needed, body part I want to focus on, and even the trainer. There are 6 filter options on the FitBit app. They have groups such as “no equipment needed” or “weights only” but then there’s also ones I came across that require a treadmill or push-up bar, but you don’t know that until you click on the video itself.** Meal ideas are awesome, but on the FitBit app they are all in video format. I don’t want to watch a video to get the recipe. I want an ingredients list and directions I can *read*. Looking at a few videos they are short, like 36 seconds, and at no point do they tell you how much to use in the ones I looked at as they are backed by music. Again, I can find recipes in a clear format on my other two apps.My conclusion:I already gave my Apple Watch to my kid, or I’d be very tempted to send this back. Is it worth a Benjamin Franklin? Not really, and especially not when the potentially useful features require me to continue paying a monthly fee. I’d say this is worth perhaps 60 bucks tops, so if you see at that price point, then maybe go for it.TL;DR:If you use other apps already for fitness and food tracking, or are looking for the old school social aspect of FitBit, then you likely should look elsewhere because Google is running the lower end trackers and the app into the ground in hopes that you will price up to the smart watch options. I had hoped that those articles saying as much were being a little dramatic… they’re not. Sad day.

compare & contrast by looking at chart in middle of product description, choose wisely
GPS: I saw a review crying about needing to have phone on body in order to have GPS tracked. The features of the Inspire 3 compared to other models are CLEARLY listed in THIS product description. This model has CONNECTED GPS (means it will talk to phone), or you can choose a model with GPS built in (no need to have phone on you). ZERO surprises here.STEP COUNT: I find it accurate, leaning toward underestimation, which is fine. Never have I found it to over estimate. Seems about as accurate as all the other Fitbit products I have used over the past 10 years. If you find it over estimating for whatever reason, then raise your goal.SCREEN CLARITY: good color, clean clear presentation. I have been using their smart watches the past several years, so I wasnt sure what to expect from their “low end” basic model. Very clear. Very different (and better) than basic models of 8-10 years ago.SCREEN USE: very receptive to my touch. I can tap the screen and see the time, date, and steps, and then scroll UP to see: date, battery amount, steps, distance, floors, hourly activity progress, heart rate(actual and resting), sleep and sleep score, Sp02, menstrual info, exercise progress. Scroll DOWN, to see alarm if you have one set, or want to turn off. Along with other options. Use SIDE button and swipe left or right for other information and settings stuff.BATTERY LIFE:. Lasts forever. I have my watch set to only turn on with a tap. I didnt want to see it every time I flicked my wrist. That also takes away from batter life. There are likely other settings and such that decrease battery life, but as of right now I have been using it since July 9th, and it is the 17th at time of writing this. I have 32% battery left. 10 days is likely accurate.BONUS: although it says that it does NOT have ECG app for AFIB detection, it does. Sorta. “while it can’t take an ECG like the more expensive Fitbit Charge 5 or newer smartwatches, it will monitor your heart rate and alert you if it detects an irregular heart rhythm”.WATCH BAND STYLE: I wish I noticed this or thought to ask before purchasing. This has the PIN release style watch band. Since I like to swap out my bands frequently, I am not a fan of the pin style. Made extra annoying as this is a small unit and therefor extra small pin system. That being said, I havent had any real problem swapping out. Mostly just a nuisance. However, I went ahead and ordered a Charge 5 because that has the push button release. I like how the Fitbits are now just including a size small as well as a size large band size. I have 7″ wrist, and prefer the large band over the small. Gives me more wiggle room. I also like the regular traditional watch band style (slots with pin, then slip through securing band– like any old school watch). Some models use a slip through band which always made me think it was unsecure. So I always just bought new bands of preferred style. Overall I can wear this just fine as is.WORD OF CAUTION:The 4 star rating takes into account that I dont see in the description any info pertaining to the “pin” release style of band. Maybe I missed it. I also factor in that this CANNOT be used in conjunction with other models. I figured I could swap between the Charge 5 and this, depending on what I want to wear that day. Nope. This will have to be cleared from app before another one could use. I noticed this when I was putting this online to replace my Fitbit Sense. I had to deactivate the Sense to add this. And now that I have a Charge 5 coming, I will have to deactiveate this. I wanted to be able to try them out side by side to determine which I like most before giving one away. Boo/hiss.LASTLY, I decided to stop buying the smart watches, as in the Versa or Sense. I found that I wasnt using most of the additional features. None lasted more than a year or two for me anyway. This Inspire 3 and Charge 5 have all that I want, and nothing I dont. Comes down to personal preference. I have a Garmin Vivosmart that has lasted forever, but it never seems as accurate for basic movement (good for intentional exercise), basic walks, and the app is yuck. Whereas I really like the Fitbit app. I like the product, but are basically throw away items for me (whereas my husband is still wearing his Fitbit Blaze from several years ago).I’ll update if I experience anything worth sharing, especially if anything negative.
