Way better than I had hoped for!

This mat has been a game changer. I normally have to clean around my cat box twice a day. Now I only have to do it twice a week. I don’t “pour” the litter out….I just vacuum the mat a couple times a week. (So much easier) This has been saving me time…and frustration. I no longer step on litter anytime I walk in the room or get out of my shower. I did have an issue where one of my cats threw up her food on it and the vomit seeped down into the mat. 🤢 I was able to vaccum up the dry litter then I just rinsed it off in my shower, propped it open and let it dry until the next morning….good as new! I wish they shipped it flat, but I followed the instructions to use a hairdryer to warm and flatten it out and that worked pretty well. Overall I’m pretty happy with this product.

Very good
I am very satisfied. It solved the litter problem a lot. All the litter that fell around the box ended up on the carpet. There is no more dirt on the outside of the box. It solved 90% of the problem here at home. The only litter that falls now is minimal because the kittens here at home still don’t know how to clean themselves their paws.

Love this product
I fully recommend this cat litter mat. After using it it has significantly reduced the litter on the floor when my cat uses his litter box. It’s easy to clean with water and some moderate detergent and the quality of the material it has it’s awesome.

Works…
I have not been able to get it to lie flat. It might some day, but not there yet. Book boxes on top for weeks haven’t flattened it. The hair dryer method did nothing, yet it is settling more with average use. The mat is a good size and quality is not bad. It does work well for the money and the color is good for what it’s working with. It is easy to pick up and move around to get the litter taken care of. A heavier plastic overlay may have helped it but still very functional.

Follow Directions
If you follow the directions as far as flattening the mat it will work fine. It catches 95% of the litter when she steps out of the box. Much better than a piece of carpet I was using.

Two layered mat works great.
Litter falls through the upper layer so the cats don’t have to walk through it and drag it throughout the house. Took about 5 days for the mat to lay flat but the it slides on our floor so we had to install none slip backing.

Great product!
Definitely cuts down on the litter and debri tracked out the litter box. We’ll made, easy to use and clean. Nice neutral color, thick cushioned pad. Perfect size for our cat house and litter box.

It works
It works great. It catches a lot of the access litter. However, it is true that the mat is hard to straighten out. I put it under my cat tower for 3 days. That did the trick.

Litter Mat
Well Made. Catches the cat litter and it’s easy to clean. Only issue is with how it was folded. It was difficult to remove the crease. I used the blow drier and put weight, still there is a slight bend in the mat. Not completely flat.

Great litter mat!
I really like this litter mat, it very effective at catching and holding the litter and it’s really easy to empty back into the litter box. When I opened it, it did have a strange odor but after a day I didn’t notice it or anything. It also flattened out pretty quickly, it does still have a crease that you can see in the pictures but I don’t mind that and I don’t think it affects the product.

Yes, they send it folded. Yes, it messes with the shape…
OK, so, for whatever reason, the makers of this mat decided it was best sent folded in half twice lengthwise and squeezed into a box. They are clearly aware that this messes with the mat, as they include a note on top that gives 2 tips on how to get the folds out. Well, I’d like to tell them the easiest way to get folds out, is to send the mat in a large envelope/packet type thing. Especially given the material of the honeycomb pattern, it is tough to get it flat, but not impossible. But, be aware that if you’d planned on using this immediately, you likely will not be able.Tip one is to put heavy things on it. OK, I did that. 2 30-lb (each) boxes so entire mat length/width was covered. Did for 2 days. Was a bit improved but definitely not flat. On day 3, I did their other tip…using a hairdryer to heat it. That alone did a bit, but not a ton. So, I ended up blasting it with the hot hairdryer and then putting the boxes on it immediately. Left it about 18hrs, that mostly did it. Several weeks later, it does lay flat.Despite that being way more than I’d thought I’d have to do for a cat litter mat, I do like it well enough. It does catch litter very well and holds it in. I still have the occasional stray bit of litter, but, in fairness to the mat (and despite my placing the litter box & mat in a spot where my kitty must step foot on it before anything else), my cat will sometimes just bolt outta her Litterbox, I honestly think she takes flight, haha. But, it does collect litter well and most of the time she seems fine walking on it.The part that is a bit frustrating is trying to clean the litter from it. The first time, I picked it up, trying to keep it level, and only turned it to dump it once over a wide garbage bag… But litter just kinda flew in all directions from that movement. I found it a bit tricky to keep it flat and pull the honeycomb layer apart from the bottom layer without starting that flying litter. It made a mess all over the place. The 2nd time I did it, I got a brand new garbage bag so I could stick the whole mat in it and only tilt it once it was fully covered. Next time, I’ll probably just vacuum, though I’m not sure if that’ll get it all. So the whole “just pour it back into your litterbox” does not work, at least for me.So, yes, it works, but not without some issues.

GAME CHANGER
combined with a jute matt I’ve been using for years this is a game changer. I have hard wood floors and 2 boxes and my god, these are amazing. I went from some corn (worlds best cat litter) dust and small chunks on the floor to none. Like in a week. They’re smaller matters but work so well at the exit/infront if thr cat box. Damn nice. Wish they came in pink. Super simple. Easy to empty too. Just don’t sneeze when picking it up. Soft and easy on my feet if I step on it. Easy for my old cat and my young cat too

Catches so much litter!
I bought the student the fact that our new cat would constantly track litter heavily throughout the house. With the holes the size they are it does catch a ton of the litter definitely not all of it but a big amount. It is easy to clean I simply opening the flap and pouring the excess litter until the trash. The size is good for my cat and her litter box which is a little bigger than a normal one.

Works Well and Looks Nice – Compares with Another Brand
I ordered the XL Pieviev 30″x 24″ mat.I also ordered the Wepet super-size 45″ x 35″ mat.They both work well with slight differences.This mat is slightly too small. I would love this mat more if it was available in 35 or 36″ X 24″ or even 30″x30″ – just a bit bigger, but it works very well as is. I just have to angle our litter entrance.This mat works well for collecting litter around the box. The litter stays put and does not travel off the mat at all. Most of the litter is caught right outside the exit of the litter box. I really love not having to get litter out of the crevices of my wood floors!Because the mat is just slightly too small for our box, I keep our litter at an angle on the mat to ensure the cats have to walk on the mat for several steps when exiting and it works perfectly.Our box has a lid, so only one choice of exit, but if cats could exit from any angle, I would need a smaller litter to have all sides surrounded by this mat.It does feel very pleasant to walk on – soft, cushy, and almost like foam, but not squishy. My cats use it with no problems.The texture collects litter slightly better than our Wepet mat because the soft texture traps it, but the Wepet is smoother and contents slides off easier during cleaning.This Pieviev collects more dust and fur and is harder to dump contents from since they cling. Its softer flexibility and cushy texture means I have to shake the mat to get it to release the contents – they don’t just slide off the way our Wepet mat does and it results in more dust flying, so I put it completely inside a trash bag when dumping to prevent dust. The smaller size also means if my sons spill litter when changing the litter, it isn’t contained as easily. The texture of the mat does mean litter doesn’t scatter as far, though.The Wepet mat is smoother and more rigid, so dust doesn’t stick/absorb and contents slides off easily when dumping, but they also migrate more, so there is litter throughout the whole mat instead of concentrated at the litter exit. That said, I prefer dumping the Wepet mat because it opens on each end, so litter can be dumped from top or bottom. At first, I thought this would make it easy to spill or difficult to dump the contents without messes – bit it is the opposite! Contents stay put until I dump them and having both ends open makes it so much easier to clean!The Pieviev is a bit harder because contents get stuck in the upper end where it closed like an envelope.Recap:This mat works very well.Comfy to walk on.Looks nice.Catches all the litter from their paws in the first few steps.Slightly too small, but still works well.Collects some dust and fur (not bad though)Requires some shaking to get contents loose when dumping.The rigidity of the Wepet mat makes it easier to dump the contents in the trash, easier to clean, and less dust collects in it because of the smooth texture, but it is not as soft or comfy to walk on and litter migrates across the whole mat, not just a few spots.It’s hard to say which I prefer. For softness to step on and trapping litter in a more concentrated spot right outside the box, I prefer this Pievev and it looks nice aesthetically. For cleaning ease and optional larger mat sizes, I prefer the Wepet.One note – I have only had these a few weeks and I have *not* hosed them down or scrubbed with water/liquid cleaners, so how these each clean or hold up to water remains to be seen.

Litter tracking has improved, but this mat is hard to handle
Ever since I started using this, I do see my cat tracks less of his litter around the home, but when it comes time to do a clean up and pour the trapped litter back into the litter box, it’s a hassle. You can’t obviously tell what side has the opening, it doesn’t bend smoothly so it sort of creases and pops around and kitty litter bounces out of the end or out the holes at you, and if you tilt it at all even when open-end-up, the kitty litter will start pouring out of the holes on the other side because of gravity. Sometimes I just don’t even try to make it work right and I just pour the litter in it on the ground and then just sweep it up with a dustpan.

If you have cats that use an indoor litter box, you need this rug. This thing is fantastic. I no longer have litter spread around by their little feet. I got the larger one and I have not seen any litter on my floors since I bought it.10 stars.

It works
The mat works as advertised and contains the litter my cat tracts out of his litter pan. It is easy to empty, just open the one end over a trash can and shake. The only trouble I’ve had is the mat doesn’t lie flat despite following the instructions. I’ve had to soak the mat at one point because it had a urine smell. But that took care of the problem. The mat is a good size for the covered litter pan I bought at the same time, both were good investments.

Traps litter well!
I like it enough im going to buya second one. Good quality. Deep enough to capture litter. Rather than taking it outside to clean it I found that when I vacuum the the decorative litter housing, the litter picks up nicely with the vacuum cleaner. The only nuisance was getting it to flatten out from shipping. But they offer good instructions on how to flatten it. They should just ship it flattened between two pieces of heavy cardboard. It does the job and im buying a second one.

We’ve had this mat for so long I didn’t even realized how much it helped until we moved and it got lost in the shuffle. We had to go a few days before the new one got there and the litter tracking is so awful. This helps tremendously, I don’t ever notice litter on the floor with it

Great for cat messes from litterbox

Seems to be great but won’t lay flat
They need to pack this thing rolled instead of folded, because I can’t get it to go flat. Otherwise it great. I’m ordering a second one. Maybe I can use a hair dryer on it to flatten it? Sort of annoying.

Overall good product
This mat does well at grabbing and holding the litter. The only issue I have had with this product is still having the bends in it from it being folded and shipped in a box. I tried placing heavy objects on it as the company recommended when I first received it, but it never fully flattened it out. Kinda of annoying. But besides that, it works.

Helps to keep loose litter in check
So far, I am liking this Matt. It does seem to keep a good amount of the litter in Check. Still have litter escaping the Matt area and getting on the floor however does seem to be much better than before. I started using the Matt. Only complaint would be if the Matt does get wet. It’s very hard to clean off any of the litter. Especially if you’re using a clumping litter. Otherwise I would definitely buy again.

when i first got it i had to flatten it out first under something really heavy like their cat tree bc it came rolled up or folded in a box. the mat catches most litter but of course some litter gets more stuck in their paws and goes onto my floor a little. the material is like foam so it will be soft under your cats feet rather then hard and it opens at the bottom so you can easily dump it back into the litter box, however it doesn’t open easily and the litter dumps all over the floor instead but you have to make sure it fully opens first before tipping it into the box 😭.If you have bigger sized litter pellets i wouldn’t recommend it because it barely catches my med. sized ones. It has a faint smell but it isn’t horrible. Otherwise it is really helpful and saves you a lot of time of having to grab a broom/vaccum.

Effective Litter Control, but Some Durability Concerns
The Pieviev Cat Litter Mat does an excellent job of trapping litter, thanks to its double-layer design. It keeps the surrounding area much cleaner, which is a huge relief for any cat owner. The waterproof and urine-proof features are also handy, making cleanup easy. However, the mat’s durability is a bit questionable; after a few months of use, some wear and tear might start to show. Despite this, it’s a great investment if you’re looking to reduce litter scatter and maintain a tidier home.

Tons of pros – one con!
This is my second litter mat (first of this brand). It catches litter very well and is easy to clean out! It doesn’t lay flat, but the weight of the litter box fixes that, so it’s perfectly fine. I have a litter enclosure, and the mat fits perfectly inside of the bottom of it. Makes cleaning the litter enclosure much easier!My ONLY qualm with this specific mat is that my cat has accidentally gotten urine on it two times, and even after cleaning it thoroughly it seems to be holding onto the urine smell. I’ve cleaned it with animal-safe cleaners and soapy water then left it out to dry. The urine smell is still noticeable, so I’ll have to replace it. The other mat I owned did not do this. Love the mat otherwise and recommend getting one!!
