Cats love Sheba
I have tried probably 20 different types of wet cat food, and Sheba is the one that all of my five cats just love! It’s a great value for money, just knowing that I’m not gonna have to throw it out, because my cats will Eat every bit of it! I just wish the lids were a little easier to open without getting gravy all over my hands!

Cats like it and actually eat it without trying to bury it.
My cats are picky eaters and they like this stuff. I buy this and the temptations patte as this what they will actually eat and not just lick the the top of the food and then try to bury it. Seriously 😑 does anyone else’s cats try burying wet cat food they don’t like?? Or is just my fur babies that do this.

Older cat loves it
We buy this specially for our 16-year-old cat because she is losing a little bit of weight. She likes this particular brand and she eats it fairly well. She gets tired of things very quickly normally but has eaten this food consistently for a couple of months now.

Kitties Say Tasty Food, Mom Says Terrible Packaging
My eldest kitty is nearing 15 and minus a few teeth, meaning that she now has a hard time eating crunchy, dry food. On a mission to find her a new, suitable wet diet, I started purchasing different brands and varieties left and right. I came across these Sheba Perfect Portions pates with fingers crossed. After a few weeks of feeds, here are the pros and cons I’ve found.The pros are that my picky kitty loves the flavor and absolutely licks the bowl clean. Also, the portions really are perfect for her and there is never any worry about having to store any left over open food. The cons are that the packaging is absolutely terrible. Half the time when I’d snap the two portions in half, the foil would tear awkwardly opening both sides and leaving me scrambling to store a serving for later (something I was trying to avoid for simplicity’s sake). The other half of the time, even if I snapped the portions cleanly, getting the foil off was a pain and a half. I spent more time struggling to open the foil and not get the juice everywhere or spill food on the floor than my cat spent actually eating it.In the end, I decided to go with another brand in a can and a universal cat top to store between feeds. Not ideal, but easier than fighting the Sheba foil packaging. But if the packaging was updated a little to make opening less of a struggle, I’d switch back in a second! If you don’t mind wrestling with foil and cleaning up spilled juice, the food itself is a hit with the kitties! Only recommend for now if you like your cat food experience to include a free workout.

Only cat food my cats eat!
I have 3 cats (crazy, I know) that all prefer different textures, tastes, and brands. We can’t feed them dry cat food because we have a food thief. SHEBA is the only brand that all three cats will eat. It has made feeding time so much easier! We also love that this brand has the perfect portions – we don’t have to worry about dividing it out or saving half a can. I only rated it 4 stars, because sometimes, the pate can have different consistencies but my cats didn’t mind one bit!

Only wet food my cats will eat
My household loves the Sheba Perfect Portions. I’ve gone through so many different types of both wet and dry food to find what my cats enjoy and they absolutely love this product. They are very picky eaters and I haven’t been able to find anything aside from this that they will eat. Also, they have had no digestive issues with this product. All around great product and we will continue to buy this brand.Pros: Come pre-portioned perfect for average sized cats. Cats really seem to enjoy this.Cons: Sometimes (specifically the salmon) can be difficult to open and may cause a cut to the hand. I usually just use a paper towel or rag to get the opening started.

Purrfect For Multiple Cats
I love how these come in single servings. It makes feeding multiple cats very easy. We have three outside cats and give them a ‘wet food treat’ twice a week. They go bananas for this wet food! They don’t leave a single morsel. I also like how these stack. It makes storage very simple. I will continue buying these because my cats love them!

Great Cat Food- TRYING TO OPEN THE CONTAINER IS SOMETHING ELSE.
Our cats love it, but I have heard this complaint from many people. That’s why the 4 stars instead of the 5.If you have arthritis or weak fingers, getting the containers open by pulling the convenient tab is a chore; and if you can do it, you can get juice or gravy all over you hands. I have arthritis and I found a simple solution.SEE THE PICTURES!It is not a joke and you shouldn’t have to resort to this.

My cat loves these things. Personally I think they nasty but my cat won’t eat anything else. I switch him between the loafs and the cuts. He basically just licks the loaf till he’s had enough and he eats more of the cuts so idk which works better for elderly cats.

Cats love it!
I have been using Sheba pate for several years. When the cats were younger they would eat the more solid Sheba cat food but now that are older, they only eat the pate and it has to be that specific fish kind. They will not even eat the beef or chicken…only fish. Tell me cats are not finicky.

I buy lots of different treats for my kitties and this is the one both cats love day after day. I truly hate the packaging as can be difficult to unseal especially for arthritic hands and can accidentally unseal leaking smelly liquid if not careful when separating the individual portions. Price can fluctuate significantly so keep an eye on it.

Quality change?
I used to buy these frequently for 2 elderly cats who had tooth problems, and they enjoyed them immensely. We have 2 more cats now getting up in years, so I decided to see if this food would up their eating (they have cut way down on the calorie intake, concerning for geriatric cats.) Alas, the salmon packets were mostly rejected, and the generic seafood flavor almost as much. Although I did not find any damaged or rotten packs so far, it seems the formulation has changed much for the worse since I last bought them. Not going to buy any more unless I find a flavor they like.

Sheba pate is the only wet food my late male and current female cat will eat. I have bought this from Amazon a few times on a lightning deal as I have owned cats for about 14 years. My cats were picky and they prefer more variety than these packs. If your cat only likes the flavors in these packs and we’ll eat them all the time it probably comes out to about the same on a day to day basis. But like I said you can get these on lightning deals sometimes and they’re worth snapping up to save a little money. I do like that they are peel tops and not those metal tops with the ring. This makes them easier to store and I like that they are in single serve portions so if my cat isn’t hungry I don’t wind up wasting more than a day’s worth of food.

My cat gives these 5 stars
My cat goes crazy for Sheba wet cat food. His favorite are the pates, especially fish and chicken. The small portions are good, because my cat will overeat and throw up. Also, you don’t have to store half a can of stinky cat food in your fridge. Like all cat food, these smell terrible and you will get the juice on your fingers when opening them. The smell doesn’t linger after washing your hands though.

I have been using Sheba products for a while now. My cats like the stinkiness and the taste of the food, the ingredients are not vile. Packaging, useful and convenient as it is, is an issue though due to the plastic waste (as others have pointed out) but my biggest peeve is the aluminum cover that must be pulled back. The metal is thick enough to cut your hand if you don’t pull it back just right. I found out the hard way and after many days of opening these things being ultra-careful to hold it just right – I missed and cut my hand AGAIN, hence this review. Fancy Feast packaging (similar product) uses a comparable design but slightly thinner metal covering, which has yet to bite me – but Fancy Feast uses somewhat dubious ingredients. Becomes a trade off – injury; good food, no injury; okay food.

Great for picky cats
I have two cats, with one being extremely picky on the wet food that she eats. I’ve gotten her many different kinds but the only one she consistently eats is this pate kind! I think it’s mostly the texture is nice and soft with just enough juice as well. I keep dry food out and then split one of these a day between my cats in addition to a wet food topper as a treat. Happy cats!🐱

Our cat is not totally crazy after it but it eats it
Our cat is rather spoiled and eats only some wet food. This is one of the brands that it eats. I like that it’s package in rather small amounts so I can always open a new freshman and I don’t have to store half of that in the fridge for later. Once open it looks very palatable, at least for a human, very fresh and it appears it’s made out of good ingredients. Although they are packages cheaper than this, it’s still pretty good value for the money compared to some other much more expensive alternatives. I can not comment on how well it contributes to our cat health as I don’t see any difference before we start feeding her that and after.Overall I like it because I can have it in the drawer break one piece peel the cover and puppet into the food bowl for the cat. So from the human perspective, it’s very user friendly, it lasts for a long time and I would certainly buy it again. From the cats perspective it is pretty good but it certainly not the best. The assessment from your cat can be obviously very different 🙂

My cats are elderly and have gotten even more picky with age. Together with some other brands, SHEBA is an answer to my dilemma.The food blends seem to be of good quality and I haven’t seen any adverse reactions in my cats to the food.I open several “meals” and combined with some warm water create a soup which is easy for them to lap up & increases their hydration, which is important especially with elderly cats.They love all the pate flavors and get excited when I start opening the meal compartments (cats in concert – lol)!I removed 1* for the ungodly amount of extra trash I have to create and wish it came in a can (double of meals) to make things easier.

interesting
it took my cat a few rounds before she ate it. and will be the 1st thing she eats if i give it. BUT WHY is it called a Perfect Portions??? when u have to give 3-7 of them?? its completely misleading. 1 should be for morning, 1 at night. Yet its not.the main reason i bought this over other brands… it hasnt had any recalls. showing they havent messed up yet lol. but can we fix the “perfect” size to a real “perfect” size??if u give the cat 4 portions, that is barely 2 weeks of food. for the price and what ur meant to give. once my kitten has more teeth, im cutting back on this. more value in hard food mix with water at that point.

Keeps her healthy alongside other tricks
Our tabby is 6 years old and according to the vet who gives her a chef’s kiss at every visit, she’s just about 9 lbs and in great health which is my judge for a well balanced diet. We feed her three different things on a daily basis, one Sheba seafood in the morning to keep her from spitting up – dry food in the morning was an absolute fail on an empty stomach, not to mention most vets do not advocate for a fully dry food diet. At midday because she needs more calories and for her teeth, we give her a specialty science dental diet (snack) for her teeth- after having to extract 6 teeth at the tender age of 4 we vowed to keep her dental health as a priority. Her dinner is American Journey dry Turkey from a robot feeder in 2 shifts so in case we’re out during the evening she’s taken care of to reduce spit ups- she’d eat all day if we let her and eats very fast so we time this last feed a half hour apart. Most people tend to overfeed their cats- we learned otherwise because this diet keeps her stable, we know this works. Her coat is soft and shiny, her eyes clear and clean. She loves to play with toys and jumps several feet in the air so I know we’re on the right track with her. We hope she stays healthy and wise for years to come.
